BLAYR

I went from a 9-to-5 with a side hustle, to the owner of 3 businesses all while having 3 babies and oh yea, running a ranch. I've streamlined the process of running businesses so I can live a life I love every day, not just living for the weekend. I'm also a foodie, lover of beauty products, and an outdoor enthusiast.

Marketing can be one of the most difficult tasks as an entrepreneur. If you’re just beginning, you may have no idea where to even begin. Experienced entrepreneurs also have difficulties with the ever changing climate of marketing.

Although it can be so frustrating and overwhelming, marketing can be simple if we don’t get bogged down by all of the distractions.

Trying to be Everywhere

There are so many marketing channels available, and when we try to do it all overwhelm and burnout is almost certain. So, instead of spinning your wheels trying to be everywhere and everything to everyone, find your clients or customers where they are. How do we do this? First you have to become crystal clear on exactly who your ideal customer is. Once you’ve established this, you can find them where they are.

When you narrow your focus on where you need to show up, it frees up time and energy. You’ll become more intentional and be able to systemize your marketing.

We have three businesses in completely different industries. Our clients for each business are in different places, so rather than trying to post on every social media channel, each business focuses on the channels where our clients are, very intentionally.

Lack of CTAs

A call to action is when you are calling your audience to do something. Instead of leaving them confused on what to do next or where to go, you’re asking them, pointing them, or inviting them to do something.

On your website place a banner above your main navigation leading your audience to your lead magnet, sale, or your special offer. Make sure this hero or banner is noticeable, a background a different color with contrasting text. Include a call to action with a link to more details or your offer.

This isn’t the only place on your page where you should call your audience to do something. I often place an offer or call to action in the middle of my page and then sometimes even right above the footer. Your audience needs to see things several times before they even consider signing up or purchasing. So show it to them, and often!

No Engagement

Your audience is there because they like you, they like your services and they like your products. When you engage with them it makes them feel important, and that will keep them coming back. When someone comments on one of your posts, or sends a message, respond to it thoughtfully.

We all know those comments we’ve left on a post or replied to a story, and even when we may have forgotten about it, when they respond to your comment or reply to your message it makes you feel important. Engaging with your audience will build a loyal audience. And when it’s time for you to send out an offer, that audience is there.

Putting It All Together

Meeting your audience where they are, utilizing CTAs and engaging with your audience will expand your reach and increase your impact. You’ll create and nurture an audience who truly values you and is there for you when you release your offers.

These three marketing tactics may not seem earth shattering, but they’re often overlooked and way undervalued. Start implementing these strategies today and watch your impact and engagement grow. If you found this information valuable, share it with other entrepreneurs on social, or even directly to a friend.
